Ah breakfast, we meet again. You're lucky I like you.
I used to eat as soon as I got up - just like this little girl. Nowadays I sort of need a moment or two to come to terms with such behaviour, but it's a rare day indeed I would actually skip breakfast. Lunch, meh... dinner.... cereal, yeah? But breakfast - do not get between me and my food.
Do not get between this girl and her blueberries. Evah. She might share her peanut butter muffin though. And she likes popping Cheerios in my mouth.
For those of you who have never done the vegemite and avocado thing, get on that train.
Rye is best. Trust me.
Aw, this one is actually from her birthday back in March. Organic 7-grain waffles with cottage cheese, honey and peaches. She loved this one.
Peanut butter on wholegrain with steamed apple chunks. I used to steam all her apple pieces until one day she just started eating them whole. I don't bother now! She's tough.
Weekend family breakfast means scrambled eggs on toast and grapes. Occasionally a bit of whatever we're having too, it depends on her mood.
Hit me up with what your babes eat!

ReplyDeleteVegemite and avocado is the ONLY way to live!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is finally eating more food :-D she loves english muffins and toast with either PB or vegemite or cheerio's. I don't tend to give fruit at breakfast as we have fruit & cheese/yoghurt at morning tea but i'll be making bircher muesli with apple etc when it gets warmer xx
ReplyDeletePoor Baby C...he gets porridge every day...although I do spice it up with some unsweetened applesauce, cinnamon and sultanas.
ReplyDeleteAnd I suppose as I have a meh attitude towards lunch too, he often gets breakfast foods for lunch...muffins with peanut butter or avocado on toast.
Those waffles look amazing! My birthday is November 26 in case you want to make me some!
Where do I get those waffles from please ?
ReplyDeleteOh my! We love the vegemite and avocado thing round here... My daughter will take half an avocado and a spoon and devour it at the moment! We've used your banana pikelets (ALOT) lately and added blueberries....
ReplyDeleteShe also LOVES the 'yellow weetbix' - they're the hibran ones with oats/honey...yum! My favourite too!
Love your blog! Just found you at Twinkle in the Eye Blog :)) I'm your newest GFC follower :)

Boiled egg like her mamma! Almost every day, oh and a banana
ReplyDeleteYes!!!! Vegemite, avo + rye is the BEST!!! Hubby hates vegemite (weirdo), so he does avo, pesto, rye with lots of lemon squeezed over. Also recommend. But maybe not for bubs.
ReplyDeleteYes! Love avo and Vegemite! Absolutely delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of having it for lunch today!
ReplyDeleteAw yum, pesto! I have got to get some more. I've been doing avocado, feta, lemon and coriander and it is the best ever.
ReplyDeleteReally? every day? That's so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell hello and welcome!
ReplyDeleteAw that's cute! I've been doing different things with the pikelets too. How easy are they?!
