"Be careful on that thing! I don't think you should be riding it!" says my maternity shoot photographer, Billeta.
"Pfft, I'm all right," I say as I launch my 37-week-pregnant self onto the seat. We've been shooting on a country lane and a car is coming, way off in the distance. I wheel my bike to the grassy shoulder.
"Stop right there!" Billeta says.
I look up and give a self-conscious grin as she clicks away.
For the rest of the shoot, my husband and I are walking the bike down the lane. We stand in the afternoon sunshine and touch my polka-dot belly.
We move to the next location and have a vintage tea party looking over the majestic Glasshouse Mountains. But the light is fading and we go home.

Cut to several months later and that afterthought photo, taken spontaneously and quickly, has become the cover for the summer issue of Peppermint Magazine.
The lead up to that decision was as serendipitous as the photo itself.
I am honoured that such an incredible moment in my life, captured by such a talented new photographer and dear friend, is being shared so widely and in such a way.
Kelley and the gang at Peppermint are gals after my own heart.
Their magazine is full of vintage and craft and organic and sustainable prettiness.
They love art, beauty and charity.
They have not asked me to blog about them, or to direct you to their Facebook page, or their Twitter.
But I am because I want to share.
Peppermint is a gorgeous magazine and this summer issue is available now. They've even had a little chat to me inside it.
I'd still tell you to buy it, even if I wasn't on it.
Thanks so much for being the best readers a girl could ever have xxx
